Having MJ as a freediving instructor and mentor for the past year has been an absolute blessing. He is caring and supportive in my personal freediving goals, he knows how to navigate my monkey mind and for that I am eternally greatful. His style is extremely hands on, with the emphasis on safety and technique which makes you as a student feel reassured and confident in your own ability.

MJ is truly a rare gem of a person, as well as an instructor, to have found in SA. I did my AIDA 4 and Instructor's courses with him- he is extremely thorough, with a wealth of knowledge and experience that goes way beyond the course material, and an absolute passion for the sport, with a gift for teaching that is evident throughout!

MJ is an incredible freediving instructor and he makes his courses a lot of fun to attend. His teaching methods are extremely effective and his passion for the sport is highly infectious.
