Instructor Course

In this course you will have to show your diving capabilities as well as your theoretical knowledge of freediving theory. In the instructors course you will be taught the art of teaching freediving however less focus is placed on your personal freediving.
You will learn the most effective teaching skills for freediving. You will learn how to take video footage and analyze technique and posture of your students post dive. We cover how to organize your training sessions, navigating local weather and ocean conditions and how to mitigate possible risks while freediving.
As a AIDA Freedive Instructor you can teach independently from any scuba or freediving school. You are free to travel and teach anywhere in the world.
The course consists of
- 8 Online theory sessions
- 3 Pool sessions
- 4 Classroom sessions
- 5 Open water sessions
- Instructor exams
Requirements
AIDA4 Certification or equivalent, similar certifications from other agencies will be able to do a crossover evaluation.
Instructor crossover from other Freediving agencies also possible.
Complete the AIDA medical certificate.
Performance requirements
- STA of 4-5 Minutes
- DYN performance 90m
- DNF performance 50m
- CWT dive 40-50m
- FIM dive 40-50m
- Long CWT 30m dive of 1:30
- Long FIM 30m dive of 2:00
- 25m Deep rescue followed by 50m tow
- Hang at 15m one minute followed by rescue
- Stamina test 5 x 20m CWT dives with one minute surface interval
- CNF to 20m
Certification
After completion of course requirements you will receive a internationally recognised certification from AIDA or PADI depending on your choice of course.
